Summitry
Account

Delete your account.

Summitry is published by Mareike Haug, Zürich. You can delete your account from the app in a minute, or ask us by email if you no longer have the app.

In the app

  1. Open the Profile tab and tap the gear at the top right to reach Settings.
  2. Under “Your data”, tap “Delete account”.
  3. Confirm with “Delete”. The account and everything in it are gone at once, and the app returns to its welcome screen.

Entries still waiting to sync are deleted from the phone as well. If you want to keep your book, export it first (Settings → Export logbook).

By email

If you cannot open the app any more, write from the address you signed in with to support@summitry.app. We delete the account within seven days and confirm by reply. If you signed in with Apple or Google and cannot tell us the address, send your handle (the @name on your profile) instead.

What is deleted

The profile with its name, handle and picture; every entry with its photos, conditions, companions and comments; your lists, follows, blocks, imported finds and the Strava connection with its tokens; the notification tokens of your phones; the reports you sent. Comments you left on other people’s entries go too. A record of a moderation decision stays, without your name. The sign-in record at Apple or Google is theirs to keep or remove; Summitry keeps none of it.

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Database backups are overwritten within days; nothing is restored from them.

Deleting only part of it

You do not have to delete the account to remove something. An entry can be edited or set to private from its page; a Strava connection can be disconnected in Settings (what it sent is deleted with it); an imported find can be dismissed in the inbox. Write to support@summitry.app for anything the app does not offer.
