What the book keeps.

Summitry is a summit register. It stores what you write into it and as little else as it can. This page says what that is, where it lives, and how to take it out again.

Your account

You sign in with Apple, Google or an email link. We keep the identifier the provider gives us, your email address, your display name and, if you set one, a handle, an avatar and a home region. We never see a password.

Your entries

A signature stores the summit, the time, your position and its accuracy at the moment of signing, the activity, a note, the conditions you reported, the companions you named and any photos you added. Each entry has a visibility: public, followers, or only you. Verified signatures are public by default; imported and claimed ones are private by default.

Location

The app reads your location only while you sign a summit, to confirm that you are on it. It does not track you in the background, and it never stores your home.

Strava

If you connect Strava, we read your activities and their GPS tracks to find the summits you crossed. The connection tokens stay on our server and never reach the app. Imported entries are private until you change that. You can disconnect in Settings at any time; entries you confirmed stay in your book.

Where it lives

The database, your photos and the sign-in records are hosted with Supabase in Frankfurt, Germany. Sign-in emails are sent through Resend. Nothing is sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build a profile of you.

Analytics and cookies

The app sends no usage analytics and contains no advertising or tracking SDKs. If we add analytics later, they will run on servers in the EU, count which screens are used rather than what you write, be anonymous where possible, and come with a switch in Settings to turn them off. This page will change before that does.

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or third-party scripts. Its fonts and images are served from summitry.app itself. The web server keeps ordinary access logs, including IP addresses, for a short time to keep the site running.

Crashes and support

The app does not send crash reports. If you write to support, we keep the conversation for as long as it takes to help you, and nothing else.

Your rights

You can export your book and delete your account, with every entry and photo in it, from Settings. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. For anything else, write to support@summitry.app.
